Two fer
Our story begins with two ships passing in the night. We took a bunch of Chris’s high school friends out for a day trip to Peddocks. In the afternoon, on our way back to the marina we passed Bill and Cathy heading out for an overnight at Peddocks. We were feeling sad to miss our last weekend of the year with them, but it felt too much to bring our guests back and then go again.
Then this guy gave us some puppy dog eyes and before you could blink we were untying lines and heading back out. It’s hard to not want to share the amazing overnight experience if someone is game. Thank you Kiev for pushing us a little, it was exactly what we needed.
I love the fact that the day was full of firsts for all of us ( especially for you and Chris, even after being on the boat and heading into your third bubble season )...
ReplyDeleteFirst overnight for me at Peddocks, my first time (really) driving the boat ('How's the view from the bow Captain?'), my first mooring lesson, Chris' first side docking (Excellent, by the way), figuring out the diesel levels, storing the Pudgey in record time, a mini 36 year High school reunion, and most importantly the first Sunset cruise (again, especially after the full day we had already had!) It feel surreal to me that it really was only a scant few minutes over 24 hours that all of this happened... I loved every minute of it!!! Thank you a hundred fold for this adventure. Smooth seas and favorable winds always be in your forecast.
Kiev! It was so much fun for us too. It's been a summer of endless firsts, so its amazing to see how many firsts we were still able to pack in on our last day of the boating season. Thank you for recapping this, I bet I will spend a few winter days in the bubble rereading this post.
