Bittersweet

Honestly, I'm still so full of myself after my last post Maxie Max Max, that I was thinking I should close this blog down and go out while I'm on top. But you know me, there are always new moments to share. Chris and I have put Betty up for sale and are looking for a new boat. 3 years in, I can finally admit we are committed to this life and we know a lot more about boats now, so perhaps we can find something better suited for our needs. My only criteria for our first boat was a walk around bed, and though that is very definitely not how you buy a boat, still holds true for me. Boat shopping on the internet can be a dreary activity with countless pictures of engine rooms. So I'm having my moments like this morning when Betty just seems perfect. So who knows, maybe our first boat will turn into our forever boat. Whatever happens though, I promise to tell you first.

  1. Yes, you had your chance to go out on top! In the end, it really isn't about the boat. That's the impression I get from everyone at the marina. The boat is just the body, it's the spirit that's important.
