Out on the town

Tonight Chris and I swooped up Judy and took her out to dinner at the Bluebird. We don’t eat out much when we are visiting, but still we are very aware of the rivalry between Helen’s and the Bluebird. Judy’s hearing isn’t that great, but that didn’t stop the two of us from discussing our opinions about each dish that was served and also how it compared to Helens. And as you can imagine, the conversation would go in a circle and then back around again. All the while Chris endured this embarrassment and tried to make up for our rudeness. I think if he could have moved to another table he would have. Somehow though I’m pretty sure the staff has heard it all before because they were kind to us to the bitter end when we closed down the restaurant at 7pm.
