Cottage Refresh

I just had my kind of fun updating the furnishings in our cottage rental. I could do it all day every day. I enjoyed the mix of bringing in some new and repurposing what I already had. 

I also tried to think about the place in an interactive way. I added a lamp with a clear glass base suggesting to the guests they could contribute their own beach glass finds. You may also recognize the above chair and cabinet which have had previous cameo appearances on this blog.

I had the pleasure of Jennifer's company this week too. Jen was busy working on her book, I was busy working on the cottage. We had a few adventures inbetween. Such as when we were invited over for tea by a neighbor and carefully made our way down a long icy driveway to find we had picked the wrong house and then had to do it again down an even longer one. But mostly we'd meet for coffee and dinner and I'd get some design consultation time in with her where I'd ponder my crazy ideas such as fabric covered dining tables. But that is a post for another day.
