Just like us

This past weekend Chris was a good sport and took me on a trip to Newport RI to see the Breakers with an "oh its on the way home" stop at Ikea thrown in. If that doesn't win him "husband of the year" award, not sure what will. I've visited my fair share of mansions in my lifetime, but seeing one of these places through my current furniture fixation is a whole new experience. The first thing I noticed is they have to move stuff around a lot too. I'd like to know where these rugs are headed.

I also observed they have a rug very similar to the one in my dining room. They paired with sage green furniture which I would have never considered. But has given me some ideas!

And apparently the need to have a place for your laptop is as old as time.

But all kidding aside, the craftsmanship and materials was really mindblowing. It would be hard to share with you all all the different stone, marble, agate etc that was going on at every turn (which btw is the trend right now at furniture stores like CB2). This picture is just a close up of a pillar. It was truly a treat for the senses.
