North station

Chris and I watched this crane assembly on top of a building at north station for awhile last past weekend. There’s going to be a movie theater and supermarket and other assorted exciting additions to the neighborhood. I can’t wait! Though it is weird to think when it opens in 6 months that we will still be living on boat. But then again, where else would we be?

  1. You know I can't leave one of these future economic disasters un-commented upon ;) All that money and yet they can't connect the T to it with a short tunnel under the street? Or make North Station itself nicer to sit in? Or make it easy to pick up/drop off people at North Station? These buildings are all built with low-tax, high debt-load investors. Trees don't grow to the sky as they say. EVERY major city is doing this kind of over-building of speculative luxury towers while the global economy continues its decline. If the warnings of scientists about the effects of global warming aren't heeded (no matter who/what causes it), what hope the economists? I know you love predictions, Alice! That building will be in receivership in a few years.

    1. That is a prediction I don't like! But really all I want is a supermarket on my walking path home
