Blast from the past

Last night we had a visit from Rebecca who was our Chinese exchange student in 2012. She’s going to Columbia now. It was wonderful to see how she has blossomed into such a poised young adult. She did not display a hint of confusion about us living on a boat, but I can only imagine it was a bit of a surprise. But I also think if it was 8 years ago and we told her she was bunking in the forward cabin, she would have climbed in happily.
