Totems

Mike took me and Chris on a new trail today. The very first thing we saw was this ominous tree, but we did not heed the warnings and continued ahead. Sometimes you have to show the tree bullies you are not afraid! And the trail turned out to be a delight of soft mossy paths and beautiful vistas. A long time ago I had a thought to write a book about abandoned chicken coops in rural Pennsylvania. I probably should have done that. But now I’m thinking my next potential bestseller is The Mosses of Washington County.
