Resolutions
I awoke this morning to a text from an avid fan asking where was my Jan 6 post Somehow I was able to not drink alcohol for an entire year, but I'm struggling with my promise to post daily. I appreciate my fans keeping me honest, so I will try again! Anyhoo its Saturday morning and absolutely gorgeous here with the light snow that we've had. I wish Chris was here to enjoy it. And I miss his taking care of the manly duties like garbage collection!
In reselling news, I got a this review from the buyer of the inscrutable toy: Came exactly as described. This was a relief to me because whatever it was rattled around in the box and I debated opening up the seal to see if it was ok. But in true Alice fashion, I just decided to send it and see what happens. Sometimes that works out for me. I had 5 sales yesterday, all somewhat small dollars but a sale is a sale! I do want to talk about this one though:
I had heard on a reselling podcast that "Black Diamond" Disney VHS were very valuable. I immediately see a bunch at Goodwill and buy 2 (and debated heavily buying all 20). When I went to research it I could see on ebay that the prices were all over the place from $5 to thousands of dollars. A little more research and I decided that this was just really urban legend. I kind of wonder if people are using ebay to launder money by buying seemingly low value stuff for high money. I made that story up but it makes more sense to me than someone paying $3000 for an old VHS that is apparently so plentiful that I find tons the first time I look for it. So I bought for a $1 and sold for $5. Definitely not going to make me rich, but at least its out the door.
