Stylin!
Oh my goodness I had such a fun day at work. I got to join the photo team at their offsite to learn more about food styling. The woman who led the workshop was endlessly quotable (embrace the crumb!). In the afternoon we split into teams and tried it out ourselves. It was so interesting to me see how transformed the food was when it went from plate to camera. And also how moving the tomatoes a 1/4 inch made such a difference. The stylist and photographer talked a lot about painting with light. And I thought to myself, yes I get it. That’s what I’m always trying to say.
