Hopeful

Today was an especially busy, emotionally charged day at work. But when it ended I closed the lid of my laptop and headed out for my nightly walk with Mike and Cara. I felt some ease about my life here, which is not my regular life, but has become my regular life. You know what I mean? I understand it’s still too soon and we have a lot to get through. But I was grateful for the fleeting feeling of hope that there is going to be a what’s next.

  1. You have to cherish those moments, for sure. I still get cheered up when it's Friday, even though my work life bears very little resemblance to my usual routine. I was just starting to read an article about the optimism of Johnson & Johnson execs (they have put a billion dollars into developing vaccine) which might mean nothing--or it might mean they're really on to something. One way or another, this too shall pass.
