Memory Lane

We were invited to an afternoon wedding of some of Chris's high school friends held at the Elk's Club of Chris's hometown. Since the day was still young when the event ended, we took a drive around his neighborhood and then drove another 30 minutes to the first town Chris grew up in. Coincidentally it was the same town that my first father-in-law grew up in. Tom also always spoke about the town in a similar manner as Chris—though Tom and Chris probably lived in that town at least 30 years apart and did not know each other. Life is full of weird coincidences. I'm not sure there is ever any real meaning to these synchronicities, but it sure does make you pause and notice.
