Third Wheeling It

Chris's work life has been pretty rough lately, so at the last minute he wasn't able to make the trip to Peddock's with the Manns. But that didn't stop me from going which I have to admit even surprised me. I often tag along with the Manns on various adventures and I like to think they are happy to have me hanging out in their back seat on the way to estate sales or sleeping on their couch. They are empty nesters after all, so somebody's got to take up that space. I really enjoyed sleeping in their salon because the view all night through the doors was just breathtaking (see above). And I say all night because their cat seemed pretty disturbed by my presence and let me know every 2 hours that she'd had enough and why was I still there? Cat screeching aside, we had a pretty fun weekend of beachcombing, island walking, and of course the Peddocks cherry-on-top evening bonfire with all of our boat friends. I would say it doesn't get any better than this, but it was very bittersweet not having Chris with us in the middle of it all.
