4th of July Boat Fun
Saturday night we followed Bill and Cathy in our dinghy into the harbor to watch the fireworks. We left as the sun was setting and then stopped not very far from the barge where the fireworks were launched. Our two dinghies drifted together and I marveled at being able to watch the show without looking for parking or competing with crowds.
Then today we took Amy Jean out for our 3rd trip to the Harbor Islands with the Manns and Leslies. It takes awhile to get to know your boat and get used to driving it, but we are impatient for expertise. We were grateful to have our close friends with us to create a safe zone of support.
But seriously one of the things that makes marina life so special has been the community of kind people willing to share their knowledge and their excitement as you learn. This picture was sent to us by some friends who saw us going down the dreaded fairway on our way to the dreaded docking. No boats, humans, or egos were hurt in today's event. So I will call that a win.
