The Max Advantage

Max claims to be less interested in photography these days, but that hasn't stopped me from knocking on his door every other day with a new request. Once you see the difference between a haphazard camera shot versus the right equipment and expertise, it's hard to go back. But as all things Max go, it's always a lesson in patience. I arrived at his apartment on Sunday with a bag full of jewelry I wanted to list on ebay. Max was "ready" for me with this set up below.

It looked like all I had to do was move the watch and begin shooting. But no, that was just a tease. We went through 3 different set ups of lights and cameras before a shot was taken. I know I sound ungrateful, but truthfully I am just in awe of how hard it is to do simple things. And how much expertise is required. I am just glad I have Max in my corner.

  2. Yeah, what is my problem? Not doing something I would actually enjoy.
