Shoulder Season Boating
Al and Michele invited us along for their annual winter return to Charlestown from Newburyport. It may be mid October, but I think it might have been the most gorgeous boating day of the year. It's about a 4 hour trip so I was excited to settle in on their pretty boat and enjoy the ride as passengers.
I often get a bit conflicted about our boating life. I love it, but I am also the first to admit its pretty strange. I do think it suits us though. Look at Chris. That's a happy man looking forward to a day on the water!
Today was a rainy Sunday so we did a few chores and took it easy. I ended up making dinner for us and the Leslies. I haven't really conquered the kitchen on this tiny boat, but somehow today I made it work. In the end it's all about making it home. And I was happy for the occasion to burn my silly vintage Halloween candle.
