Here's Looking at You
I know I've been quiet for the last week. It's been a rough couple work weeks, but as always, things change. I think I'm on the other side of that particular roller coaster and I am back to status quo. Over the last few weeks, both Max and Chris seemed to be on the same advice path of find something else to think about. (I know Max and Chris love when they agree on something). In my defense, I just want to say when you're obsessing about one thing its really hard to make room for anything else. (Uh I guess that's their point!) Regardless, the warmer weather has made walking to work a joy. Chris and I are talking a lot about learning how to drive this behemoth boat. I'm almost in disbelief that I will be able to learn such a thing, but we've made it this far. I'm excited to see what it will feel like when we learn this new trick.

Learning is painful, but also exciting!
ReplyDeleteI hope no one minds if I share a tiny boat story here. I'm heading down to a writer's conference in Tampa next week. The hotels were all so expensive, so I booked a boat in the marina of the hotel through Abnb...thanks to Chris and Alice for making the possibility of boats available. I emailed the guy yesterday to give him the time I'm flying in and to check on the instructions for finding the boat. He very breezily responded that the information has changed since he's moved his boat. Moved his boat! From the hotel marina my conference is in to another hotel's marina! Now this was something I had never considered when I booked it. Hahahaha. I now have a bit of a walk. But who doesn't like a walk?
That is so funny! Honestly, that would not have occurred to me either. Hopefully it is a beautiful oceanside walk and not some chainlink highway wasteland. I hope you fall in love with sleeping on a boat and you decide you want to move into SlipD17
DeleteJen that's hilarious. Also there's an amazing boat for sale at our marina.
