Walk with Me

The one constant happiness for me since our move is my walk to work. Even on a rainy day like this morning, I put on my rain coat, thanked Chris for his wisdom in getting me a home computer, and took off. In the beginning I thought about adding a weighted vest for more exercise, but Michael set me straight on that one. And for awhile I discovered the joy of bluetooth headphones and podcasts. But lately I am happy to walk to my own thoughts. The sunny mild weather this week has motivated me to walk fast. So I've been experimenting with my own version of a hiit workout. I walk quickly for the count of 100, slow down for 30 seconds, and then speed up again. It makes the trip fly even though my fast is not very fast.

  1. I just did a mini-challenge: I had to do 10,000 steps a day for 10 days. I'll bet you're beating that easily.

    1. Yeah, I easily get 14,000 steps if I just walk to and from work. Not unusual to hit 20k some days. I had read somewhere that 80,000 steps = 2 lbs. Not sure if that is really true, but its a nice target.

    1. The only thing that makes it better is when I get to walk and talk with you!
