Stopping to smell the roses


Here’s my life lesson for today. I’m struggling a little with some back pain which makes my walk commute uncomfortable. But I know movement is the best thing for me plus the weather is perfect—cool and dry. I started my walk this morning thinking well maybe I will get shuttle after I cross the bridge or Uber if I’m too miserable later or the silver line when I get to seaport. But instead every 15 minutes or so I just stopped and sat for a few minutes. Then I’d feel pretty good for next 10 minutes. My lesson to self is, you don’t always have to power through. Right?
