Boatloaders or CoPilots, You Decide
Last summer I really marveled at how happy Kevin looked at the marina. Especially, as the story goes, he was Never Ever going to move onto a boat. It's been a tough year and of course we have not been here much. But seeing that smile on Kevin's face again today filled me with so many warm and happy feelings. We got an out-of-the-blue call from the Mann's late this afternoon to go for their inaugural boat ride of the season and though Chris and I were feeling a bit beat, we jumped up and went.I truly love being out on the Boston Harbor. There is nothing better. It is nice for me and Chris to know that even though we do not have a boat right now, we can hopefully bum enough rides to get our fix. And pretend to be helpful as we fumble with lines and offer unhelpful words of encouragement.
Also, unrelated, except we happened to see it when we were walking home. And I enjoy showing all of you pictures of odd things. Here's a newfangled Pickup/Limo waiting outside TDGarden.

ReplyDeleteI object to the word "unhelpful". I showed Kevin where the brake was! ;-)
