Boating Life

 

Generally I try to keep all my posts positive here at Slip D16. But in my last post, my positivity might have been seen as sleep gloating. Well, I got mine. Chris and I took our new-to-us boat out for the first time over the weekend. The trip was not exactly planned, or well thought out, but what the hell we said. What can go wrong? Well actually in boatlife, much can (and will!) go wrong. But fortunately that is not the story I am telling today. No, my story is only that sleeping on a mooring, in the bow, on a very lightweight boat, is not the sleep of dreams. It was a noisy, rocky night of wave crashing. Still though there is truly nothing better than being out there as the sun set over Boston with good friends. So now I guess I'm sunset gloating. That's how positivity works, can't help it!
