Boatkeeping Happiness

Over the last week Chris and I have managed to turn the corner on a lot of outstanding issues that make living on a boat...well liveable. We conquered comcast for internet, we fitted the filter for drinkable water, we refined repositories for stuff and so on. But perhaps the biggest hurdle was figuring out how to make granola. It's just one of those things that I like to do to feel at home and nested. I wasn't willing to give up counterspace for a regular toaster oven, so the one I got is the size of an ez bake oven and has similarly limited functionality. You can toast 2 slices of bread or heat at 350-425 degrees. Granola, if you did not know, needs to be baked at a low and slow rate. I eyeballed measurements to fit the tiny sheet pan and then turned on the oven at 350 degrees for 5 minutes and turned it off for 5 minutes. By golly it worked.
