Good night Betty
Tomorrow we pack up a truck with all our stuff and say goodbye to Betty. It’s been an amazing 3 years. Is it ok if I tell you that I’ve been really proud of me and Chris and all we’ve learned? It hasn’t always been easy being the novices in the land (sea?) of scrappy, competent people. But through it all I’ve always had Chris’s steady gaze that told me we’ve got this. And that has meant everything. I know you’re wondering what happened to Betty’s goodbye party. But a rainy cold night isn’t conducive to a gathering during the time of COVID. So as Chris noted to me, we end as began, quietly just the two of us. But don’t you worry, I am sure a new boat is in our future
So much fun, so proud of you both, so excited for your next boat and adventures!!
ReplyDeleteThree cheers for you, Chris, and Betty!!!
