Happiness Seeking
Last night I started a new book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a
F*ck. I was a little worried that the entire book was already summed up
in the title. But I'm just a few chapters in and I think its going to be
a good one. To paraphrase from the book: To be human is to have
problems (simple or abstract and complicated) and to be happy we need
something to solve. Happiness is a form of action. And true happiness
occurs only when you find the problems you enjoy having and enjoy
solving.
So true! Chris and I had a life we really enjoyed
in Coolidge Corner. But we went looking for trouble moving onto a boat.
I keep calling it life hacking as we try to figure out how to do
everything in a new way. But maybe all we are doing is designing our life, one problem at a time.—alice
This was the best post yet. I love the sentiment and you expressed it beautifully.
