Human Scale

I've been thinking a lot about moving from the human scale neighborhood of Coolidge Corner to our new life in the Big City. Some days as I cross from Charlestown to the Seaport I feel inspired and uplifted by the enormity of the buildings and lights. Some days I feel crushed. Mostly I feel curious about all the people and businesses. It's like I've stepped into a new tv show, but the producers have not figured out yet whether I have a bit part or they'll sign me up for the season. And then my pondering of scale always ends with a bit of laugh when I arrive at the marina where you could not get more human scale than all these little bubble wrapped boats nestled in together.
