And now the big reveal! Over the last week, I have been back and forth to police headquarters 4 times in pursuit of my Peddlers and Hawkers license. In Boston, you need to have your fingerprints sent to the FBI for a background check so that the police commissioner can state that you are of good repute for morals and integrity. You can argue whether this is true all you like, but I have it in writing! Now that I've passed that hurdle, this morning I am off to the Department of Standards to complete the application. Although it is tempting to leave you with another cliffhanger as you wonder what the heck I could want to hawk, I will not be so unkind. One of the many odd projects I manage at work is our new food truck, and this required someone get the license.
