Fender Bender

I don't think this picture really gives any sense of scale, but this boat fender is humongous. I discovered it when I was out taking a lunch time walk around the more industrial area of the seaport. Fenders were one of the early boat things Chris and I had to buy and new word we had to learn. They hang off your boat and provide cushion between you and the dock or neighboring boats. Max is probably wondering where I am headed with this pretty mundane discussion of blown up rubber. But here's the thing, in my old life, I would never have noticed this. Funny how the differently you see the world when you change things up.

  1. I'm still working my head around the ice Chris took a picture of, and posted, on Facebook. Also, I haven't seen the vacuum in a while. Is it coming out again?
