Stillness
Our new friends a few slips away invited us over tonight. I walked home from work through the bustling Seaport with its fancy work people, stopped at Haymarket and the Boston Public Market for a few things to bring, winded my way through the locks battling the crowds heading to the Garden, and then arrived at the marina. The hush of the water and the lights from the city are so magical. It never gets old. And then I had the craziest thought. What if I end up liking boat living more in the winter than in the summer?
You can love them both! When we lived in the Fenway, I adored the beginning of baseball season...all the red shirts, the energy, and the sound of the crowds at night from our house. By the end of the season I was done, and reveled in the quiet of our neighborhood. Change can be wonderful.
